Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Kent based client to recruit for a Buyer. The role: You will be tasked with taking ownership of the full purchasing process from receipt of order to delivery into my client. This will involve the management of suppliers, cost negotiation, and management of inventory. Key responsibilities: Process and expediating of orders Work with suppliers to ensure no shortages or delays in orders Monitoring of supplier performance Negotiate and identify cost savings Assist with sourcing of new suppliers Skills and Experience: 2-5 years' experience in a Purchasing role from a manufacturing environment Knowledge and experience of working with an MRP/ERP system Good numeracy skills Experience of negotiation Strong computer skills including Excel 52182DHR INDPRO The Portfolio Group are acting on behalf of our client in recruiting for this position
