We’re looking for an experienced, talented Purchasing Manager with an engineering background, for one of our clients in Greater Manchester. What You Get * Attractive base salary depending on your experience * Annual bonus * Company pension scheme * Private healthcare * Life assurance * 33 days annual leave including stats * Occupational health * Occasional overseas travel About You * You’ll have proven purchasing or procurement management experience within engineering. * Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with experience managing complex supply chains. * CIPS/MCIPS qualification or equivalent professional standard. * Engineering qualification or strong technical aptitude, including the ability to read engineering drawings. * Experience with MRP/ERP systems, ideally SAP. * Experience managing and developing a purchasing team. * Willingness to undertake occasional overseas travel. About the Job * Lead strategic and operational purchasing activity across the site. * Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with wider business objectives. * Manage the purchasing budget, supplier relationships and high-value contract negotiations. * Drive cost savings, continuous improvement and supply chain resilience. * Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality and Finance to ensure material availability. * Lead, mentor and develop a team of six direct reports.
