SEN Tutor - Required in Thurrock - 15 hours per week - £25 - £30 per hour* Prospero Teaching are currently looking for an experienced 1:1 Tutor to provide support to a young person in Thurrock. The Opportunity Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils, SEND teams and schools throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND. We are currently looking for an experienced 1:1 to support a Key Stage 2 pupil with Maths, Reading and Writing for a total of 15 hours a week. Support is needed for an ASD pupil who requires tuition as well as mentorship as they have been known to demonstrate inappropriate behaviour. Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, applicants must have a background and strong understanding of SEN. Position Details: Location: Thurrock Position: 1:1 SEN Tutor (experience with ASD) Hours: 3 hours a day Timetable: 5 days per week Start date: ASAP Duration: ongoing Experience, Training and Qualifications: Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils UK classroom teaching experience Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 Tutor must: Hold the right to work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child-related references.
