Orbital Recruitment are looking for an experienced Patternmaker / Toolmaker to join our manufacturing specialist client in Derby. Immediate start available Salary & Working Hours * Starting salary: £36,744.40 * Monday to Friday * Flexible start times between 6:00am and 8:00am * Overtime available What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who can come in and get up to speed quickly, with solid hands-on experience in a pattern shop or toolroom environment. You’ll need: * A minimum of 3 years’ experience in engineering toolmaking or patternmaking within a similar industry * A sound knowledge of patternmaking and toolmaking * Experience working within a pattern shop or toolroom environment * Strong hand finishing skills * The ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings * Experience producing tooling or patterns for industries such as: * Automotive * Foundry * Aerospace * Marine Main Responsibilities * Producing tool parts in aluminium, cast iron and steel * Making jigs and fixtures for the production of automotive and foundry components * Carrying out hand finishing work to a high standard * Reverse engineering parts for repair where required * Following company processes, quality procedures and housekeeping standards as part of the quality management system The Next Step If you have a strong patternmaking or toolmaking background and think this could be a good fit, apply now
