Mechanical Project Manager Location: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide & Perth, Australia Salary: AUD $150,000 - $250,000 + Relocation Assistance Job Type: Permanent About the Opportunity We are recruiting experienced Mechanical Project Managers for a range of major building services, infrastructure and construction projects across Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals currently working within the UK, Ireland or wider European construction markets who are looking to relocate and build a long-term career in Australia. Working on high-profile commercial, industrial, healthcare, data centre and infrastructure projects, you will play a key role in delivering complex mechanical building services installations from inception through to completion. The Role Reporting to the Project Director, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical and HVAC projects from design and procurement through construction, commissioning and final handover. You will manage project programmes, budgets, resources, subcontractors and client relationships, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities * Lead the delivery of mechanical and HVAC projects through the full project lifecycle. * Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control and financial reporting. * Oversee procurement, subcontractor management and programme delivery. * Coordinate design development, installation, testing and commissioning activities. * Manage project risks, variations and contractual obligations. * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors. * Lead project teams and provide technical and operational guidance. * Ensure compliance with all health, safety, quality and environmental requirements. * Manage project handover and defects liability obligations. Experience & Requirements To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have: * A recognised degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng, MEng, MSc or equivalent) - this is a mandatory requirement. * A minimum of 3 years' experience delivering Mechanical, HVAC or MEP construction projects. * Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, from design and procurement through to commissioning and handover. * Strong commercial awareness, including budgeting, forecasting, variations and cost control. * Experience working for a building services contractor, mechanical contractor, MEP contractor or principal contractor. * Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. * The ability to manage multiple workstreams within a fast-paced project environment. Please note: Candidates who do not hold a recognised degree in Mechanical Engineering will not be considered. Previous Australian experience is not essential, provided you can demonstrate experience delivering comparable mechanical or HVAC projects within established international construction markets.
