A specialist consultancy serving the social housing sector is looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Reigate. This is a strong opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor with experience in housing maintenance, cost control and procurement to work with a broad client base including housing associations, local authorities, contractors and procurement bodies. The successful Project Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in supporting the development and maintenance of a widely used Schedule of Rates, while also providing commercial consultancy support to clients across repairs, maintenance and procurement activities. The Project Quantity Surveyor will be involved in cost modelling, tender evaluation, valuation support and the review of maintenance delivery models. This role would suit a Project Quantity Surveyor who enjoys combining technical quantity surveying with client-facing consultancy work. The Project Quantity Surveyor will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, providing insight into market pricing, contractual arrangements and the financial performance of housing maintenance services. The position offers the chance to contribute ideas, improve existing processes and take an active role in a specialist and collaborative team. Project Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities: Supporting the ongoing development of the Schedule of Rates and associated documentation Maintaining labour and material cost data Assisting with specifications, pricing frameworks and contract documentation Carrying out option appraisals for property maintenance delivery models Providing market intelligence and cost benchmarking to clients Supporting interim and final valuations Preparing and evaluating tender submissions Advising clients on procurement and contractual arrangements Project Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements: Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline Minimum 3 years' experience within social housing maintenance Strong knowledge of cost management, budgeting and procurement Previous experience using the NHF Schedule of Rates Good analytical skills and strong attention to detail Confident written and verbal communication Collaborative approach with a focus on continuous improvement Experience with the NHF Form of Contract would be advantageous Knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 would be desirable In Return: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum Reigate-based position Specialist exposure to the social housing sector Varied consultancy, procurement and commercial responsibilities Opportunity to influence established pricing and procurement tools Collaborative working environment with strong client exposure If you are a Project Quantity Surveyor considering your career opportunities, then please contact Dan McEvoy at Brandon James.
