Job TITLE : CNC MILLER Programmer/ setter/ operator Contract Type: Permanent Location : Wigan Salary: DOE Due to continued success and an increasing order book, we are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller – Programmer / Setter to join our team. We are looking for an exceptional CNC Miller with significant experience working within a precision engineering environment, with proven experience in programming and setting CNC milling machining centres. The Role As a CNC Miller – Programmer / Setter, your main responsibilities will include: Programming and setting CNC milling machining centres. Producing low-volume, high-value complex components to tight tolerances. Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings. Working from computer-generated models. Selecting and applying appropriate machining methods. Applying your knowledge of different materials and machining techniques. Ensuring components are manufactured accurately and to the required specification. Requirements the successful candidate will ideally have: Proven experience as a CNC Miller / Programmer Setter. Significant experience within a precision engineering environment. Proven experience programming and setting CNC milling machining centres. Experience producing complex, high-value components to tight tolerances. The ability to work confidently from engineering drawings and computer-generated models. A Time Served background. Minimum GCSE and City & Guilds / ONC qualifications. Experience with Heidenhain controls would be a distinct advantage. What We Offer Excellent salary, depending on experience.
