Location: Northampton, NN2 Job Type: Full-Time Contract: Permanent / Long-Term Start Date: ASAP / September 2026 Salary: (Apply online only) per day We are seeking an enthusiastic, patient and committed SEND Teacher to join a supportive school setting in the NN2 area of Northampton. The Role As a SEND Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs. Support pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, communication and interaction needs, SEMH and complex learning needs. Create a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment. Set and monitor individual learning targets and contribute to EHCP outcomes. Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, families and other professionals. Promote positive behaviour, independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing. Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Contribute positively to the wider school community. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Holds QTS/QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Has experience teaching pupils with SEND, or a strong interest in developing their SEND teaching experience. Has excellent classroom and behaviour-management skills. Can differentiate learning effectively to meet individual needs. Is patient, resilient, adaptable and nurturing. Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
