Role overview Shuel Construction Ltd is looking for a reliable, experienced Multi-Trader with strong flooring skills to join our team supporting social housing and planned/reactive maintenance works in Oxford and surrounding areas. This is hands-on, steady work with a professional company that values quality, consistency, and good communication. Key responsibilities * Carry out a range of maintenance works to a good standard, with a key focus on flooring and wet room works * Typical tasks may include: * Vinyl flooring (sheet vinyl, repairs, small areas and full rooms) * Wet room flooring (prep, fitting, finishing, sealing) * Cap and cove (where required) * Patch plastering and making good * Basic carpentry (doors, locks, skirting, boxing-in) * Minor plumbing (non-gas) such as traps, taps, leaks, WC internals * Tiling repairs and silicone sealing * Painting and decorating (localised) * General snagging and void works * Work in occupied homes — maintain a respectful, tidy approach * Complete job updates and photos as required * Follow company procedures and health & safety requirements What we’re looking for * Proven experience as a Multi-Trader / Maintenance Operative * Strong flooring background, including wet rooms * Basic DBS (required) — must be in place and valid * Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship * Good customer manner (you’ll be working in residents’ homes) * Full UK driving licence * Right to work in the UK Essential * Social housing experience (desirable) * CSCS card (desirable) * Asbestos awareness * Own tools * Williness to travel What we offer * Ongoing work in Oxford and nearby areas * Competitive pay (dependent on experience) * Supportive team and clear job allocation * Opportunity to grow with a busy contractor
