Part-time Speech and Language Therapist Location: Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge , Havering & Waltham Forest Pay: Up to £35 per hour Hours: 3-4 days per week, term time only Benefits Up to £35 per hour 3-4 days per week Term time only Varied paediatric caseload Mix of school and community-based work Flexible working hours depending on the caseload Access to WriteUpp for clinical documentationWe are working with a well-established specialist Speech & Language Therapy service supporting children and young people across East London and surrounding areas. They are looking for a Part-time Speech and Language Therapist to join their team on a flexible, term-time basis. This is a varied role working with children aged 2-16, combining assessment and therapy across mainstream schools, nurseries and community settings. The Role Work 3-4 days per week, term time only 1-2 days per week within mainstream schools, generally 9:00am-3:00pm Remaining days supporting children in their homes, schools or nurseries Working hours vary depending on the caseload, typically 9:00am-3/4pm or 10:30am-4:30/5:30pm See approximately 4-5 clients per day on community-based days Complete assessments, therapy sessions and reports Maintain clinical notes and documentation using WriteUpp Work with families, education staff and other professionals Caseload You will work with children presenting with a range of speech, language and communication needs, including: Speech and language delay/disorder Autism and social communication difficulties Dyspraxia Selective mutism Other specialist areas depending on your experience and clinical interests Locations The schools are primarily based across Barking & Dagenham and Redbridge, with most community clients located across Havering and Waltham Forest. There is flexibility around travel, so if there are specific areas you are unable to cover, this can be discussed. About You We are looking for a Part-time Speech and Language Therapist who: Has experience working with children and young people Is confident carrying out assessments and delivering therapy Has strong report-writing and clinical documentation skills Can work independently and manage a varied caseload Enjoys working across different settings Is committed to child-centred and collaborative practice Car driver preferred, but not essential
