Interim Class 2D+ Building Inspector 📍 Essex ⏳ 12-Month Initial Contract (High Likelihood of Extension) 💷 £60 per hour We are currently seeking an experienced Class 2D+ Building Inspector for an interim opportunity based in Essex. This is an initial 12-month contract, with a strong view to extension due to ongoing workload. The Role This is a hybrid role offering a balanced mix of site and home-based work: * Site Inspections * Remote Plan Checking Key Responsibilities * Carrying out site inspections across a range of building types * Assessing compliance with Building Regulations * Plan checking and providing technical advice * Liaising with applicants, contractors, and internal stakeholders * Ensuring works meet statutory and safety standards Requirements * Must be Class 2D+ registered with the BSR * Proven experience within Building Control * Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and legislation * Ability to work autonomously in an interim capacity * Full UK driving licence (due to site visits) What’s on Offer * Competitive rate of up to £60 per hour * 37 hours * OUTSIDE IR 35 * Flexible hybrid working arrangement * Long-term potential beyond the initial contract * Immediate or short-notice start welcomed * Mileage and Trainfare expenses If you’re an experienced Building Control professional looking for a well-paid interim role with flexibility and longevity, this is an excellent opportunity
