Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Residential Developer Northamptonshire £40,000-£45,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established, privately owned residential developer in Northamptonshire. This role would suit an Assistant QS from a contracting, housebuilding or residential background who is looking to take on more responsibility and gain broader commercial exposure within a smaller, supportive business. Working closely with a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for two live developments and play an active role in the day-to-day commercial management of each project. The Role Your responsibilities will include: Monthly payments Cost/value reporting and forecasting Subcontractor procurement Materials purchasing Cashflow management Variation accounts Statutory procurement General contract administration Commercial management of live developmentsYou will also receive training and exposure across estimating, budgets, material take-offs, design-stage costing and customer care cost management. Ideally, you will have: Previous experience within residential development or contracting Experience managing commercial duties across live projects Good understanding of subcontractor procurement and payments Experience with CVRs, forecasting and variations The confidence to manage your own workload while reporting into a Managing QS Package £40,000-£45,000 salary Car allowance Bonus scheme 8:30am-4:30pm working hours Earlier finish on Fridays Opportunity to work for a smaller, privately owned developer Broad commercial exposure and genuine responsibilityThis is a great opportunity for an Assistant QS who wants more autonomy, varied experience and the chance to progress within a close-knit residential business
