Healthcare Assistant/Support worker East Grinstead, RH19 £16.00-£20.00 Per hour Full-time & Part-time | Days | Variety of Shifts Available Join Apollo Home Healthcare We are looking for caring, energetic and proactive Support Workers to provide 2:1 care for a 14-year-old boy with complex care needs, both at home and out in the community. You’ll assist with personal care, daily routines, communication, rehabilitation exercises and engaging activities, while encouraging his independence and confidence. He loves swimming, hydrotherapy, exploring the community, travelling by train and bus, and having fun with bubbles and balloons. This is an active role, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys getting involved, being hands-on and trying new experiences. You’ll work closely with his family and wider care team to help him stay engaged, happy and confident while enjoying a range of activities and experiences. If you’re a positive, active and compassionate Support Worker who enjoys helping young people develop their independence and make the most of every day, we’d love to hear from you “This isn't just a job – it’s your opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life.” Your Role as a Healthcare Assistant * Personal care * Preparing meals- full support with all meals and fluids * Moving and handling * Medication Administration * Assisting in the community * Supporting with household chores What You'll Need * Have a minimum of 3 months' paid experience working in a professional care setting within the UK. * Have the right to work in the UK* * Be committed to delivering safe, compassionate and child-centred care. * Be willing to complete client-specific, clinical training where required. * Comfortable working in a home environment with pet dogs. * Must be a confident swimmer and comfortable supporting our client during hydrotherapy sessions.
