Materials Coordinator Tandem Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Materials Coordinator to join their busy Planning team on a fixed term contract of 5 months. This is an important role within a manufacturing environment, responsible for ensuring the smooth and timely flow of materials and spare parts to support production and customer requirements. Key responsibilities will include: * Releasing internal work orders accurately and on time * Monitoring inventory levels and identifying potential shortages * Taking proactive action to minimise delays to production * Tracking outstanding orders and liaising with internal teams to ensure requirements are met * Coordinating stock transfers between sites * Releasing daily Kanban orders to maintain a consistent flow of materials to production * Managing Kanban trolley rotation and ensuring timely replenishment * Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with agreed processes * Supporting the wider Planning team with other operational activities as required About you: We are looking for an organised and proactive individual with experience in a manufacturing, materials, supply chain or planning environment. You will ideally have: * Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain operations * Strong IT skills and experience using stock/order management systems * Good organisational and analytical skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * The ability to identify issues and take a proactive approach to resolving them * The ability to work accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy manufacturing operation where you will play an important role in ensuring materials are available when required and supporting the smooth running of production.
