HR Assistant Tameside, Greater Manchester Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience) Part-Time | Thursdays & Fridays | Term Time Only Immediate Start Available Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming SEN school in Tameside, seeking a professional and organised HR Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis, working Thursdays and Fridays. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator or HR professional looking for a flexible role within a rewarding educational environment. The successful candidate will provide HR and administrative support, helping to ensure the smooth running of staff processes across the school. The Role Key responsibilities will include: Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records Monitoring and recording staff sickness absence Coordinating and processing return-to-work documentation and meetings Supporting the administration of maternity leave, including correspondence and record keeping Assisting with absence management procedures Preparing HR letters, reports and employment documentation Supporting recruitment, onboarding and safer recruitment processes Managing DBS checks, references and compliance records Providing general administrative support to the leadership and HR team The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will have: Previous experience in an HR Assistant, HR Administrator, or School Administration role Knowledge of sickness absence management, return-to-work procedures and maternity administration Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to work Experience working within a school environment is desirable but not essential What We Offer Competitive rates of pay A supportive and welcoming SEN school environment Flexible part-time working pattern (Thursdays and Fridays) Ongoing support from a dedicated Tradewind consultant Access to professional development opportunities Safeguarding Statement Tradewind Recruitment is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
