Job Title: Senior Production Engineer Location: Oxfordshire, UK Employment Type: Full-time and fully on site About the Client A pioneer in advanced sensing and molecular analysis technology, delivering groundbreaking biological and genetic solutions globally across 120+ countries. Role Summary Hands-on Senior Production Engineer to lead manufacturing support, process scaling, and automation for next-generation fluidic products. This is a practical, shop-floor role focused on building, debugging, and commissioning robotic cells, fixtures, and automated test equipment from R&D to full production. Key Responsibilities NPI & Process Transfer: Bridge R&D to production; develop processes for precision dispensing, laser welding, leak testing, and marking. Hands-on Assembly & Controls: Build, wire, and commission robotic cells, vision systems, PLCs, Safety PLCs, and HMIs. Validation & Quality: Lead FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, and PQ execution under strict quality guidelines. Process Optimisation: Use FMEA, SPC, and root-cause analysis to increase yield and process stability. Requirements Experience: Background in production engineering within medical devices, robotics or a regulated manufacturing industry. Mindset: Highly practical-comfortable building, wiring, and troubleshooting hardware in the workshop. Technical Skills: 3D CAD, electrical schematics, PLC/HMI troubleshooting, and equipment validation (IQ/OQ/PQ). Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience). Pluses: Robotics integration (6-axis/SCARA), ISO 13485 / GAMP knowledge, or Six Sigma training
