Supply Chain Coordinator Harlesden, London Monday - Friday , 8am - 4.30pm (1 day Working from home) £32,000 - £38,000 (DOE) Alexander Steele is delighted to be supporting a food manufacturing business in the search for a Supply Chain Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for a supply chain professional to join a growing food manufacturing business and play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, inventory, and products throughout the supply chain. Key Responsibilities * Manage the purchasing of raw materials, packaging, and external services. * Support demand forecasting and inventory planning to ensure material availability. * Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships. * Obtain quotations and negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements. * Identify opportunities to reduce costs across purchasing, warehousing, and distribution activities. * Coordinate material planning to optimise stock levels and minimise waste. * Develop contingency plans to reduce supply chain risks and maintain continuity of supply. * Assist with sourcing activities for new product development projects. * Track and report supply chain KPIs, recommending improvements where required. * Work closely with Production, Operations, Quality, and other internal departments to ensure business objectives are achieved. * Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function. * Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and health & safety standards. * Maintain awareness of industry developments and supply chain best practices. Skills & Experience * Previous experience within a Supply Chain, Purchasing, Materials Planning, or Procurement role. * Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, or a manufacturing environment is desirable. * Strong organisational and planning abilities. * Good communication and stakeholder management skills. * Commercial awareness with the ability to negotiate effectively. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
