SEN Teaching Assistant - Clacton Full-Time | Monday to Friday | Long-Term Opportunity Are you the person who can make a child think, "I can do this"? Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a brilliant SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Clacton, helping pupils overcome barriers, build confidence and enjoy coming to school. This is a role where the little things really do matter. A calm voice when a pupil is finding things difficult. A bit of encouragement when they don't believe they can do something. You'll become an important part of the school team, supporting pupils with additional needs both academically and pastorally. Your day could involve: Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups Helping children access lessons and take part in school life Developing positive relationships built on trust, patience and consistency Supporting communication, confidence and independence Helping pupils manage emotions and overcome barriers to learning Working alongside teachers and the wider SEN team Celebrating progress - whether that's a major breakthrough or a small step forward What we're looking for We're looking for someone who is kind, resilient, patient and genuinely passionate about helping children succeed. You might already be an experienced SEN TA, LSA or Learning Support Assistant, or perhaps you have gained valuable experience working with children or young people in another setting. Most importantly, you'll need to be someone who: Understands that every child is different Can remain calm and positive when things don't go to plan Builds strong, trusting relationships Is happy to adapt their approach to meet individual needs Wants to make a real difference every day Why Tradewind?
