Electrical Shift Engineer – Central London Location: SW1P, London Salary: £46,500 + £2,700 Shift Allowance + Overtime Shift Pattern: 6:30am–6:30pm – 5 on / 4 off, 5 on / 5 off, 4 on / 5 off An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Shift Engineer to join an established facilities management team working at a prestigious and well-known cultural and heritage site in Central London. You will join an onsite team of six engineers, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the building and ensuring electrical and building services remain safe, reliable and operational. The role will involve lone working during night shifts, so we are looking for an engineer who is confident working independently. Initially, you will work Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm to become familiar with the site, systems and equipment before moving onto the full shift pattern. The site has a varied range of building services, including fire alarms, lighting, humidifiers, AHUs, FCUs, cooling towers and pumps. There is not a significant amount of highly specialised electrical equipment, although exposure to HVAC and mechanical systems would be advantageous. Key Responsibilities: * Planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance * Electrical fault finding and repairs * Maintenance of lighting and fire alarm systems * Supporting HVAC and wider building services * Maintenance of AHUs, FCUs and humidifiers * Working with cooling towers and pumps * Completing PPMs and reactive maintenance * Maintaining accurate site records and documentation * Working safely while lone working on nights Requirements: * Level 3 Electrical qualification * 17th Edition candidates considered * Commercial facilities maintenance experience * Strong electrical fault-finding skills * Good understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance * HVAC/mechanical experience advantageous * Comfortable working independently Benefits: * £46,500 basic salary * £2,700 shift allowance * Overtime available * 20 days annual leave * 8% company pension * Discount schemes * Training and further qualifications available * Long-term opportunity at a prestigious Central London site Keywords: Electrical Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer, Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Shift Technician, Facilities Engineer, FM Engineer, Commercial Maintenance, PPM, Reactive Maintenance, HVAC, AHU, FCU, Fire Alarm, Lighting, Central London
