Agentic Forward Deployed Engineer £550 to £650 per day outside IR 35 | 12 month contract Hybrid – Stratford, London | 2 Days Onsite per Week   We are partnering with a large global education technology organisation operating across 100+ countries, generating more than £600m in annual revenue and engaging with over 2.5 million users globally.   The organisation is investing heavily in its next generation of AI-native, in-house products and is looking for an experienced Agentic Forward Deployed Engineer to work at the cutting edge of agentic AI.   This is a highly hands-on role, embedding directly with engineering and programme teams to establish how production-grade agentic systems are built, secured, evaluated and operated at enterprise scale.   You will: Design and implement production agentic AI systems and coding-agent workflows Establish best practices for LLM evaluation, red-teaming and AI guardrails Define governance around agent behaviour, oversight, auditability and security Address risks including prompt injection, permissions, data boundaries and secrets management Build reusable reference implementations for AI-native products and agentic services Introduce AI cost monitoring, observability and model-usage controls Work closely with engineering, architecture, security and governance teams Coach engineering teams and establish long-term internal AI capability  Essential experience You will ideally have experience within a frontier AI company, AI-native technology business or specialist AI consultancy, alongside: Proven experience building and operating agentic systems in production Strong LLM / GenAI engineering expertise Hands-on knowledge of AI security, evaluation and guardrails Experience deploying AI within complex enterprise environments Strong software engineering and architecture fundamentals Excellent stakeholder management and technical coaching skills  This is an opportunity to join a major global organisation at a significant point in its AI journey, helping shape the engineering standards and operating model behind a new generation of in-house agentic AI products
