Permanent, Full-Time Benefits: Company Van, Fuel Card, Annual Leave About the Role On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Multi-Skilled Operative to join their social housing maintenance team covering Oldbury, Birmingham, and the surrounding areas. This is a permanent position working across void properties, repairs, and maintenance contracts, carrying out a wide range of refurbishment, reactive repairs, and planned maintenance works within social housing properties. The successful candidate will be an all-round tradesperson with strong capabilities in carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, and decorating, capable of delivering high-quality work across multiple trades. Key Responsibilities * Carry out responsive repairs and planned maintenance works within social housing properties. * Complete void property refurbishments to a high standard. * Undertake all aspects of:Carpentry,Plumbing,Plastering repairs,Wall and floor tiling, Painting and decoratingFit kitchens, bathrooms, doors, skirting boards, architraves, locks, and other fixtures.Carry out day-to-day repairs and maintenance across occupied and void properties. * Diagnose defects and determine the most effective repair solutions. * Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards. * Maintain accurate records of completed works and materials used. * Provide excellent customer service when working within occupied homes. * Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures and company policies. Essential Requirements * Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Operative / Multi-Trader within social housing, property maintenance, or construction. * Strong practical skills across: Carpentry Plumbing Plastering Tiling Painting & Decorating Experience working on void refurbishments, responsive repairs, and maintenance works. Ability to work independently and manage your own workload. Good understanding of health and safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Full UK Driving Licence (Essential). Desirable Experience working within social housing maintenance contracts. Relevant trade qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent). Additional trade skills such as flooring, roofing, UPVC, kitchen fitting, or fencing. Experience working within both occupied and void properties.
