Prototype Assembly & Wiring Technician Position Type: Full-time, Permanent Working Hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (37.5 hours per week) Location: Sunbury-on-Thames Salary: £35,000 per annum About the Company We are an established, market-leading manufacturer of specialised elector-mechanical and robotic systems. Operating globally from our primary facility in Sunbury, we design and build high-precision, customised technology solutions for demanding commercial environments. The Role Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled Prototype Wiring and Assembly Technician to join our production team. Because our high-end engineering systems are entirely bespoke and tailored to specific client requirements, this position offers a highly varied, engaging, and technically rewarding work environment. Core Responsibilities Precision Technical Work: Execute high-standard general wiring, manual soldering, crimping, PCB assembly, and surface-mount (SMT) modifications. Prototype Interpretation: Use your initiative to accurately read, interpret, and build directly from detailed engineering schematics and marked-up design documents. Bespoke Assembly: Assist in building and integrating complex, customised elector-mechanical assemblies. Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a small, dedicated production team to hit strict deadlines while maintaining exceptionally high quality control. What We Are Looking For Strong, practical experience in elector-mechanical assembly and manual wiring. Full competence with PCB assembly, manual soldering, and surface-mount rework. The ability to work independently and troubleshoot using technical drawings. A proactive mindset with a genuine pride in delivering flawless, high-quality finished products
