Yard Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver Location: Tamworth Pay Rate: From £13.17 per hour Job Type: Full-Time, Temp to Perm Immediate Starts Available We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver on behalf of our client in Tamworth, a leading manufacturer of GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) building products. Working Hours Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 16:30pm 1 in 4 Fridays: 6:00am - 16:00pm Enjoy a 4-day working week! About the Role This is a varied position combining both yard duties and forklift work. Your shift will be spent operating a Counterbalance FLT, with the remaining time dedicated to yard operations and manual handling tasks. Please note: A full, clean UK driving licence is essential as you will be required to drive a flatbed van between company sites. Key Duties Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck Moving and allocating stock to designated storage areas Transporting materials between sites using a company flatbed van Shunting and organising stock within the yard Manual handling of products and materials Working effectively as part of a team to meet operational targets Essential Requirements Valid and in-date Counterbalance FLT licence (accredited) Previous FLT experience in a similar industrial, manufacturing, or yard environment Full, clean UK driving licence Experience of manual handling duties Strong awareness of health and safety procedures Personal Attributes We're looking for candidates who are: Reliable and punctual Flexible and willing to assist where required Team-oriented with excellent communication skills Safety-conscious at all times Detail-focused with a proactive approach to work What's On Offer?
