Groundworker - £16.75 per hour PAYE Long-Term Opportunity at RAF Brize Norton Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworker to join major, long-term construction and infrastructure projects at RAF Brize Norton. This is an excellent opportunity to work on nationally significant Ministry of Defence infrastructure projects, with ongoing work expected throughout 2026 and beyond. Projects include the £9 billion Ministry of Defence housing strategy, delivering 265 new-build military family homes, alongside major airfield resurfacing and infrastructure upgrades designed to modernise critical facilities at the UK's largest RAF station. Working Pattern 7 days on / 2 days off or 12 days on / 2 days off Pay Rates - PAYE £16.75 per hour PAYE - Standard Rate £20.94 per hour PAYE - Overtime after 10 hours £22.28 per hour PAYE - Night Rate (7pm-7am) £25.13 per hour PAYE - Weekend Rate Weekly pay Your Role as a Groundworker As a Groundworker, you will play an important role in supporting the construction team with a range of groundworks and civil engineering activities across the site. Your responsibilities will include: Carrying out general groundworks and civil engineering duties Preparing and levelling ground for construction activities Digging and excavating using hand tools and equipment Assisting with drainage, ducting and utility installations Laying and connecting drainage systems where suitably qualified Installing kerbs, edging, paving and other external works Assisting with concrete works, including preparation and finishing Assisting with site preparation and excavation works Maintaining safe working areas and good housekeeping Working safely around plant, machinery and other site operations Reporting hazards, unsafe conditions and near misses immediately Following all site, health & safety and MOD procedures at all times What We're Looking For To be considered for this role, you should have: A valid CSCS card relevant to the Groundworker role Previous experience working as a Groundworker on a construction or civil engineering site Experience in general groundworks and construction activities Knowledge of safe working practices on construction sites Experience working around heavy plant and machinery Good understanding of site health & safety procedures Good communication skills A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude The ability to work effectively as part of a busy site team Previous experience on large construction, infrastructure or civil engineering projects is advantageous Pay & Benefits £16.75 per hour PAYE Weekly pay - reliable and on time Long-term, ongoing work Work on nationally significant MOD infrastructure projects Consistent opportunities throughout 2026 and beyond Opportunity to gain valuable experience on a major, secure construction site Important Site Information Security clearance requirements may apply due to the military environment Candidates must complete all required site and security inductions before starting Copies of relevant qualifications, identification, right-to-work documentation and an email address will be required prior to commencement Additional onboarding and security requirements may apply in line with MOD site procedures Why Apply?
