Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant - Tower Hamlets - East London Start Date: ASAP / Ongoing Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) Are you a Maths graduate eager to gain hands-on classroom experience before training to become a teacher? I am working with a secondary school in Tower Hamlets seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant. This role is perfectly suited to an aspiring Maths teacher looking to develop their skills and gain meaningful school experience ahead of a PGCE or other teacher training pathway. The Role: Supporting the delivery of engaging and effective Maths lessons Providing 1:1 and small group support to students of varying abilities Assisting with lesson planning and classroom activities Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a focused learning environment Encouraging student confidence, participation, and academic progress What The School Are Looking For: A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject (2:1 or above preferred) A clear ambition to pursue a career in teaching Strong communication and interpersonal skills A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude Any prior experience working with young people is advantageous but not essential Why This Role?
