SMT Operator Basingstoke £14.00 per hour 3 Month Contract (with potential to become permanent) The Company A well-established electronics manufacturer based in Basingstoke is looking for an experienced SMT Operator to join their production team on an initial 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern manufacturing environment, with the possibility of securing a permanent position for the right person. The Role As an SMT Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring surface mount technology (SMT) machinery to ensure high-quality PCB assembly production. You will work closely with the production team to maintain output, quality, and efficiency targets. Key Responsibilities Operating SMT pick-and-place machinery Loading components and materials onto production lines Setting up and carrying out machine changeovers Monitoring machine performance and identifying faults Conducting quality checks throughout the manufacturing process Reading and following work instructions and engineering documentation Maintaining a clean and organised work area Supporting continuous improvement activities within production  About You The successful SMT Operator will ideally have: Previous experience operating SMT machinery Experience working within an electronics manufacturing environment Knowledge of PCB assembly processes Strong attention to detail and quality standards Ability to work effectively as part of a team Good communication skills A proactive and reliable approach to work  What We Offer Competitive hourly rate of £14.00 per hour Initial 3-month contract Opportunity to secure a permanent position Friendly and supportive working environment Immediate start available  Apply Now If you are an experienced SMT Operator looking for your next opportunity in Basingstoke, we'd love to hear from you.
