As a Buyer, every purchase order, lead time and negotiation you manage keeps materials flowing to schedule. As a Buyer, you will benefit from: The chance to contribute to a growing business with a strong reputation for quality Genuine development, learning new skills alongside experienced Senior Buyers A clearly defined role reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain A structured environment built on continuous improvement and high standards Close collaboration with Production, Planning, Warehouse and Engineering As a Buyer, your responsibilities will include: Raising purchase orders for company wide requisitions using the ERP system (SYSPRO) Maintaining accurate procurement data, including lead times, MOQ/MPQ order points and open order book alignment Negotiating with suppliers to secure best value, year on year savings and first-class service Managing supplier performance, risk mitigation and on-time delivery across direct and indirect portfolios Carrying out monthly inventory profiling to secure material availability while avoiding overstocking Supporting daily SQDIP walks and the development of internal and supplier KPIs As a Buyer, your experience will include: A professional qualification in procurement and supply (CIPS or equivalent), or at least 2 years of direct and/or indirect purchasing experience Purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment Confident use of MRP/ERP systems, with SYSPRO experience an advantage Strong Excel skills and good working knowledge of Office 365 Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail The ability to read basic 2D technical drawings, or mechanical knowledge, would be an advantage If you're a detail-driven Buyer looking to build your expertise in a business that values accuracy and quality, this could be your next step.
