Job: CNC Operator - Days Job Type: Full-time, permanent Location: Pickering area Hours: * Starting Mon-Thurs 7am-5:30pm during training period (approx. 6 months lover pay rate due to no shifts) * After training period moving to dayshift - 4 on 4 off 6:30am to 6:00pm Salary: Starting at £17.30/hr rising to £17.92 + £35 per shift after training period (approx. 6 months) Key Responsibilities: * Setting/Operating High Speed CNC machines to perform tasks such as milling, drilling, tapping, grinding etc * General operation & supervision of other machine shop machinery. * Ensure all tooling, fixtures & CNC programs are available prior to commencing production * Keeping accurate records of component quantities and scrap produced on the production documentation * Maintain high standards in production output and component quality * Understanding specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading mechanical drawings etc. * Basic Editing of Programs & tool tables * Take ownership of the component quality & records * To control, check & replace tooling & cutters * Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines * Checking/refilling lubricant levels Experience Required: * Knowledge and understanding of CNC 3 axis, 4 axis machining and Renishaw probing * Must have experience on Fanuc Robodrils * Experience in operating CNC machinery Benefits: Free Life Assurance (3 x Salary) Holiday Entitlement – 21 days + bank holidays to start rising in increments over 5 years to max 24 days + bank holidays Company Sick Pay – (After probationary period) – rising in increments
