SEN Teaching Assistant - Telford Location: Telford Position: SEN Teaching Assistant Contract: Full-Time, Part-Time or Day-to-Day Agency: Aspire People SEN Teaching Assistant - Telford Aspire People are currently recruiting passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work across schools in Telford. We have a range of opportunities available for candidates with experience supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, across different age groups and settings. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant who wants to make a real difference to pupils' learning, development and confidence. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you may be supporting pupils with: Autism and communication needs Complex learning needs SEMH and behavioural needs ADHD and other additional needs Speech and language difficulties Physical or sensory needs 1:1 or small-group learning support Your responsibilities may include: Providing 1:1 and small-group support Supporting pupils with learning and development Helping to implement individual support strategies Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement Adapting activities to meet individual needs Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom Working closely with teachers and other school staff Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils The Ideal Candidate We are looking for candidates with: Strong SEN experience within a school or educational setting A patient, caring and nurturing approach Confidence supporting pupils with a range of additional needs Good behaviour management skills Excellent communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting children and young people The ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential where you have strong, relevant SEN experience.
