Teaching Assistant - Year 5 Location: Telford Position: Teaching Assistant Key Stage: KS2 - Year 5 Contract: Full-Time Agency: Aspire People Teaching Assistant - Year 5 - Telford Aspire People are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Telford, supporting a Year 5 class. The school is looking for a reliable Teaching Assistant who can work effectively alongside the class teacher and provide high-quality support to pupils across the curriculum. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TA who enjoys working with children and is passionate about helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and academic skills. The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the class teacher with: Providing classroom and learning support to Year 5 pupils Supporting children with reading, writing and maths Working with individuals and small groups Helping pupils stay focused and engaged with their learning Supporting classroom routines and activities Encouraging positive behaviour and independence Preparing and organising classroom resources Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who has: A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Teaching & Learning or an equivalent relevant qualification Previous experience working within a primary school Experience working with KS2 pupils, particularly Year 5, would be advantageous A patient, positive and nurturing approach Strong communication and teamwork skills The ability to work effectively alongside the class teacher A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development A reliable and professional approach Why Aspire People?
