Job Title: Qualified Electrician Location: Southampton / South Coast — covering work within approximately 1 hour's drive of Southampton (occasionally up to 1.5 hours for the right job). Avoiding travel towards Brighton due to traffic. Contract Type: Permanent About the Company, We're recruiting on behalf of a growing solar installation start-up based on the South Coast, founded by people with significant sector and business experience. Operating as a full-system solar installer across both commercial and domestic sectors, they're a close-knit team where everybody's contribution has a genuinely meaningful impact. As the company grows into new technologies, including Air Source and Air Conditioning, there's real scope for early joiners to shape their own role and progress as the business expands. About the Role, We're looking for a Qualified Electrician to join a growing team delivering full-system solar and battery installations across domestic properties. This is a genuine opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career with a company on a clear growth trajectory, rather than simply take on a job. Requirements: * NVQ Level 3 (Gold Card) * Wiring Regulations qualification * Test and Inspection qualification * Solar and Battery qualifications * Full, clean driving licence What We're Looking For: * Genuine drive, initiative and self-reliance * A team player keen to develop and grow their skills * Someone based in or local to the Southampton/South Coast area Package: * £50,000 per annum * 28 days' annual leave (often with additional days over Christmas/New Year) * Company van option after successful completion of probation (3 months) * Pension scheme * Genuine support for training and development * Career progression, with internal promotion prioritised as the company grows * Quarterly team-building events * No call-outs; occasional weekend overtime available if desired * Standard 40-hour week (flexible day-to-day depending on job location and travel, evened out over time — not a strict 9-to-5)
