History & Humanities Teacher – Havering Education First | Havering | Competitive daily rates | January Start | Maternity Cover History & Humanities Teacher Opportunity – Havering Education First is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated History and Humanities Teacher to join a secondary school in Havering. This is a maternity cover position starting in January, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher to join a supportive secondary school and deliver engaging History and Humanities lessons. The Role As a History and Humanities Teacher, your responsibilities may include: * Planning and delivering engaging History and Humanities lessons * Teaching across the relevant secondary year groups * Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment * Differentiating lessons to meet individual learning needs * Managing behaviour effectively * Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback * Preparing pupils for assessments and examinations * Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff * Following school policies and safeguarding procedures What We're Looking For We're keen to hear from teachers who have: * QTS or a recognised UK teaching qualification * Experience teaching History or Humanities within a secondary school * Strong subject knowledge * Strong classroom and behaviour management skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * The ability to engage and motivate pupils * A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing * The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team We welcome applications from experienced teachers who are available for maternity cover from January.
