Site Engineer - Car Park Scheme Location: Chorley (Approx. 10 miles south of Preston) Project: Car Park Construction Scheme Duration: 7 Weeks Start Date: 5th October Finish Date: 27th November Shift Pattern: Days Rate: £375-£400 The Role We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of a car park construction scheme in Chorley. Working alongside the site management team, you will be responsible for setting out, quality assurance, and ensuring works are completed safely and in accordance with project specifications. Key Responsibilities Setting out works using GPS and total station equipment. Interpreting drawings and ensuring works are delivered to specification. Producing and maintaining accurate site records and as-built surveys. Managing quality assurance procedures, inspections and test plans (ITPs). Monitoring construction activities and reporting progress. Coordinating with subcontractors and site teams. Ensuring health, safety and environmental standards are maintained. Assisting with problem-solving and technical support on site. Supporting programme delivery to ensure project milestones are achieved. Requirements Previous experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering, infrastructure, groundworks, highways or car park schemes. Competent in setting out and surveying. Strong understanding of QA processes and site documentation. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. CSCS Card essential. SMSTS/SSSTS desirable.
