Senior Estimator – Milton Keynes Senior Estimator – Milton Keynes Up to £95,000 + Package | Tier 2 Main Contractor | Commercial, Education, Industrial & Retail A well-established Tier 2 main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator to join its pre-construction team in Milton Keynes. Working as part of a close-knit team of four, you will be responsible for pricing a diverse range of projects across the commercial, education, industrial and retail sectors, providing an excellent opportunity to work across a varied and interesting tender portfolio. The Role As Senior Estimator, you will take ownership of tenders from initial enquiry through to submission, working closely with the pre-construction and operational teams to develop accurate and competitive bids. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing detailed cost estimates and tenders from drawings, specifications and other tender information Taking ownership of multiple tenders simultaneously Reviewing and analysing project documentation to identify commercial risks and opportunities Obtaining and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations Producing accurate bills of quantities and pricing schedules Developing build-ups, preliminaries and detailed cost plans Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers throughout the tender process Attending tender meetings and site visits where required Working closely with the wider pre-construction and delivery teams Contributing to value engineering and identifying cost-saving opportunities Presenting and supporting tender submissions through to handover About You The successful candidate will have strong estimating experience gained within a main contracting environment, ideally with experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor. Experience pricing projects within commercial, education, industrial and/or retail sectors would be highly advantageous. You'll be confident working independently while also enjoying the collaborative environment of a small estimating team. Strong attention to detail, commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines are essential.
