We have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.   The below job description will outline this position of: Technical Superintendent - Dry Dock   Typically, this person will plan and oversee vessel dry dockings, from developing work scopes and repair specifications through to delivery and close-out. They will work with vessel superintendents, planners, shipyards and surveyors to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule and to the required standard.   HSB Technical's client is an established and well-regarded business entity.   Duties and responsibilities of the Technical Superintendent - Dry Dock: Lead dry docking projects from initial planning through to completion and handover. Develop docking specifications and repair packages with vessel superintendents and planners. Oversee shipyard work, monitoring safety, quality, progress and costs. Coordinate class surveys, statutory inspections and certification during dockings. Manage changes to work scopes and resolve technical issues as they arise.   Qualifications and requirements for the Technical Superintendent - Dry Dock: Practical marine engineering and vessel management experience or my client may look at someone from a Welding / Fabrication background. Proven experience managing dry dockings, refits or major vessel repairs. Knowledge of class requirements, statutory inspections and the ISM Code.
