Description
What you will do
- Improve production processes to raise output and cut waste, scrap and downtime
- Lead continuous improvement projects using lean tools (5S, SMED, value stream mapping)
- Write and update work instructions, routings and process documents
- Introduce new products and equipment onto the shop floor
- Investigate production problems and put lasting fixes in place
- Work with quality, maintenance and production teams to hit targets
What you need
- Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years as a manufacturing, production or process engineer
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and problem-solving tools
- Able to read engineering drawings
- Hands-on, practical approach and confidence on the shop floor
Nice to have
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- CAD skills (SolidWorks or AutoCAD)
- Experience with PFMEA and control plans
